The Sponaugle Wellness Institute is seeking to hire a Certified Medical Assistant to join a growing team located in the beautiful Tampa Bay area, in Oldsmar, Florida. At Sponaugle Wellness Institute, we practice integrative medicine combining the best of western medicine and natural medicine to assist the healing of patients suffering from chronic illness. Our typical patient has undergone treatment from multiple doctors and wellness centers, yet they have failed to regain their health. These complicated patients normally suffer from multiple undiagnosed medical disorders. They require a more comprehensive diagnostic work up and a more intensive treatment than is available through routine “wellness” medicine.
- High school diploma
- Completed Medical Assistant Training Program | Certification preferred
- Must be IV Certified or have completed IV Education Course
- Strong venipuncture skills required
- Experience administering IM and SQ Injections
- Able to perform and understand EKGs
- Comfortable with drawing blood
- Triage Vitals (manually)
- Document all assessments, actions, care and treatment responses, and communications utilizing patient’s appropriate EMR, logs and requisition
- Intensive Care and/or ER experience desired
- EMT or Paramedic is a plus

Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds. The employee is regularly required to walk, stand, kneel, crouch and stand for extended periods. Must have fine motor skills and visual acuity. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Schedule & Benefits
Schedule will be 8:45-4:45, Monday through Friday. We include a generous benefits package. Compensation is dependent upon experience and prior training.
