Carlton Manor Inc., the largest and highest rated provider of Therapeutic Group Home and Supportive Foster Care services in the Sun-Coast region is seeking a full-time or contracted Therapist to join one of our Therapeutic Group Home Treatment Teams and to provide individual, group and family therapy to up to 12 children and youth residing in one of our therapeutic group care programs for boys.
In addition to providing therapy services, the position includes conducting intake assessments, in-depth and psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and the professional documentation of all services. The Therapist leads the development and the implementation of individualized behavioral and treatment strategies with direct care staff and with the parents of the children and youth we serve. The Therapist in partnership with the Program Manager, leads the program's Treatment Team and represents the organization with referral entities, child welfare case managers, Guardians , families and other referral or monitoring entities.
The position requires a minimum of two years experience providing counseling services to traumatized, abused, neglected and/or at risk children and youth placed in our Therapeutic Group Homes for the purpose of emotional healing and behavioral change. The position requires a high level of dependability, integrity, professionalism, strong counseling and crisis intervention skills, a strong level of energy, enthusiasm and commitment to provide an exemplary level of care and services to our children and youth .
