Global Travel manages and executes complex travel processes with an emphasis on exceptional customer service while generating significant cost savings for the Company. We coordinate and manage individual and group travel arrangements for all corporate travelers in accordance with the guidelines of the Walt Disney Company’s Travel & Entertainment policy.
The Senior Travel Industry Analyst must deliver quality of service/accuracy in reporting/high analytical skills /savings to our stakeholders and continuous knowledge and updates of all facets of travel industry as it relates to the company. In addition, this role is responsible for the airline, hotel and car agreements.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for negotiating airline, hotel, car rental, ground transportation, meet & greet service agreements providing competitive pricing, amenities, value adds and cost savings on all negotiations globally. This includes initiating RFP processes for hotels, car programs, etc. from beginning to final decision. Maintain all global contractual responsibilities. Review all agreements and liaison between Disney Legal and Vendors.Create savings and cost reductions for the Walt Disney Company on a Global basis and report monthly.Maintain, execute and monitor the Global Preferred Hotel Program, optimizing member point utilization when appropriate.Maintain the Corporate Rental Car Program which includes, obtaining Applicant ID# as needed for new accounts.Cultivate an understanding of TMC reporting tools and capabilities. Develop custom reports as required (Domestic & International). Validate data accuracy and provide in a timely manner.Provide analytical reporting to all company stakeholders on a monthly and ad hoc basis.Partner with other Sr. Travel Industry Analysts to review accuracy of monthly stakeholder reporting and provide summary of findings which define where problems or improvements could be made in savings to the company.React to any change in the travel industry which could affect savings to the company and communicate to the travel team and appropriate internal and external partners. Ensure correct rates are provided for airline, hotels, car rentals, ground transportation and updated accurately into TMC’s, GDS, and Concur systems.Monitor Monthly Market Share goals with our preferred carriers to ensure compliance. Take action to improve market share goals when required. Provide monthly reporting to the travel management team.Extract and assimilate data from multiple sources and communicate analysis in a concise, easy to- understand and actionable format
Basic QualificationsMinimum 4 yrs. experience in an analytical/reporting capability/travel industry and contract travel negotiations 4 yrs. travel industry experience, proficient with Microsoft Excel, Data warehousing. Strong business acumenVerbal and written communication skills including active listening and questioning skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesAbility to work flexible hoursKnowledgeable of travel industry standards and best practicesProven knowledge of statistical software packages such as SASDemonstrate ability to extract and assimilate data from multiple sources and communicate analysis in a concise, easy-to- understand and actionable formatDemonstrated ability to execute projects from initiation through implementationDemonstrated ability to interact at various levels in the organizationDemonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong knowledge and expertise in airline sourcing and procurement
Preferred QualificationsPreferred analytical, negotiation skills and travel industry background
Required Education Minimum 4 year degree or industry experience
Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics or related quantitative and industry experience
