Using business and/or technical knowledge and leadership skills, this position helps the business utilize technology solutions to drive projects, revenue growth and/or efficiencies. Extensive contact with all management levels, vendors and other internal customers is required to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex user issues and establish strategy and plans. This position is responsible for managing working relationships with the business and the users they represent by clearly articulating complex technical issues to a non-technical audience. Responsible for technology presentations to support recruiting activities for potential advisors and handling escalated advisor issues. RESPONSIBILITIES
•Drives IT solutions to ensure they meet business needs balanced with a pragmatic and integrated approach. •Understands and applies enterprise-wide thinking to departmental requests for IT investments to ensure end-to-end process and data integration are included in the solution. •Works closely with business unit management, and development and support teams to understand priorities and issues. •Influences the prioritization of business unit technology projects, optimal project structure and project administration to ensure strategic business objectives are met and risk is managed. •Conducts broad market, industry, and competitive analyses to define project features and functionality. •Understands and documents competitive landscape. •Details features and requirements through development to support the project team. Evaluates requests for systems modifications. •Holds the business unit(s) accountable for clearly articulating expectations. •May lead work teams in specialized functional or process areas. •Leads technology focused presentations at branch focused conferences and meetings. •Consults with potential advisors/RIAs on technology offerings and makes recommendations on solutions. •Gathers branch feedback from advisors and branch professionals. •Participates in firm-wide prioritization process to ensure resources are used on highest priority projects and provide trade-off analysis to evaluate alternatives when additional in-house resources are not available. •Initiate and manage outreach campaigns to drive awareness and utilization. •Manage complex and visible service escalations through relationship and source management. •Builds and maintains relationships with external vendors.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
•Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, Finance or related degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience or a combination of education, training and experience. •Financial services background required with direct experience supporting the business. •Ability to deliver technical training presentations to large audiences.
